Original Watercolors and Acrylics

First inspired by the French Impressionists and Post-Impressionist artists, I have painted in oils, acrylics and watercolors for decades. I am a representational artist with a loose, painterly style that aims to set a particular mood and emotion to the scene I am painting.

Today I am inspired by the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains and California Central Coast region near my home, as well as scenes from my travels abroad. I work mostly in oils in my studio using my own reference photos, but also enjoy Plein Air painting. Amidst the turmoil, there is so much beauty in this world, and I hope to capture some of it in these works. Please enjoy!
